One Hour Per Day or Seven Hours Per Week Training Program

Week Two of the LA Triathlon Training Program

  • Saturday. Bike for 40 minutes. Moderate to steady pace.
  • Sunday. Run for 25 minutes. Moderate to steady pace.
  • Monday. Swim for 600 yards. 200 yard warm up. 200 yards (2 x 100) at higher turnover. 200 yard warm down.
  • Tuesday. Normally Monday is the Rest Day but with the 4th of July we moved it to Tuesday.
  • Wednesday. Bike for 40 minutes. Moderate pace. One interval at higher pace for 3 minutes during the ride.
  • Thursday. Run for 25 minutes. Moderate pace. Two intervals at higher pace for 1 minute each during the run.
  • Friday. Swim for 600 yards. Warm up 100 yards. Steady pace for 400 yards. 100 yard warm down.
We are working on the details of a Novice and Speed Camp for August 20th at the Home Depot Center. This would be excellent for those "last-minute" details of getting you ready for the event. More as we get the details finalized. Have a great holiday weekend.
